4. Obama was even able to bring out the best out of McCain, Bush ...and Condi and Michele "Wish those were the 50's, I would burn all Dems at the stake" Bachman
The only good thing of McCain's campaign was is concession speech. Rabid dog Bachman put her tail between her legs for two seconds and talk of an historic election. Condi, well, she showed human emotions for the first time on tv and had some sort of liquid in her eyes when she spoke of Barack Obama win as making her proud. Those are life altering events.. for Repugs and those who can't stand them. He's changing all of us!

3.Obama recognize the "last minute" Bush bill gifts problem and said there won't be any.
Bush, working for first time in month and probably feeling the pain, is right now placing all kind of little mementoes, last minute regulations, in the Justice Department, Environmental Laws, Consumer Protection Law, you name it. Obama made it clear that these would be overturned as soon as he grab his White House chair.

2. Obama seems to be a fantastic husband and father.
It might sound lame and nobody knows what happens behind close doors but, let's face it: Obama and Michelle seems like GENUINELY loving couple and concerned parents. Even among my parents and neighbours I do not know of any other couple with kids that simply shines and oozes with healthy, original, harmonious vibes! We just hope they can giveus some of that to us citizens. Please adopt us!!

Well I do not mean perfection because anyone who claim it is suspect. Obama supposedly has taken money from the Health Care and and some lawyers lobby. Well, he IS a lawyer and if those health care lobbyist wants health care reform for all, I do hope they give him gobs of money. But that would be hypocritical of me but what I think - and I would love to see the proof - is that most of the money came from grassroot organizations fighting for the same ideals as him. And you know, if the Gun Lobby wants to pay every Repugs jets for life, let them!!

Okay, so liberalism mean survival of the fittest and a laissez-faire, laissez-aller attitude regarding the market... and welfare checks to bank so they could pay those million dollar bonuses on time and not lend a dime to the little people?!!

Reagan the Master Deregulator told us everything will be ok... before disappearing in the mist of the S&L scandal. There was a write-off there too. We've just finished paying for it almost 20 years later, Clinton giving us a balanced budget AND a surplus of 230 billion when Bush came to power by ways unknown and unseen before. We've been seeing the sack of Rome Live on CNN since. But Bush being Bush, which mean being on vacation or looting us folk blind, his idea of a smooth transition mean there won't be NOTHING left after him. Everything not screw on tight will just be sold to the highest, richest bidder. Yeah...Smooth allright!

So the good new is the next "stimulus package" is veered toward middle class needs. My DD did an excellent point by point review of Obama's press conference and what HE would like to see in it. Now if only somebody could tell Nancy Pelosi. Because the bad news is Nancy Pelosi and Reid. I was happy when Pelosi got to be Speaker, I thought she would mop floors with Repug's ass and go to the bat to broker the necessary coalition to get things done. Boy, was I wrong on this one. She became the delicate Maryland belle and would bend backward to prove her need for bipartisanship. I know her job is not easy. But she could have put more pressure on the Repug to prove THEIR bipartisanship.

The Repugs are classic passive aggressive bullies putting everybody but them on the defensive while onctuously claiming their innocence and "close to Godliness" virtue. She needs to call on them to prove it. Not just act like she believe every word they say. She has to turn the table on them NOW.

And what do we do in the meantime? We pray? No, we sign petitions!! And we blog, baby, blog! Noemi Klein, Chomsky, Gailbraith and co have one on the web to bailout Main Street, not Wall Street. What I love about it is that they offer economical sound solutions that will create a trickle-up momentum to save the economy and the middle class. Take a look and sign if you're so inclined. I do not see how fighting for the middle class could be wrong but I'm sure some right-wing CNN brainwashed puppet will soon tell us it is the direct path to disaster. Bring it on!

I am sure I am not the only one, but since the election I AM STOKED. I cried at Clinton's election too but this is different. It has a certain "last chance" feel. The conditions are optimal for liberal minds to create a better world for all the citizen of this nation. The people are ready for healthcare, contrary to Clinton's post-election time. They know it is not a "communist plot" to share the cost of one of the most expensive item on a budget list. They are less gullible to Repugs arguments since neocon supposed set of "value" created a mess of unbelievable proportion. They are more then ready to end the wars...

We need to scream it from the top of our lungs, if not now, then when??? A special shout-out to Pelosi with her cautious "I believe everything that any Republican idiots tell me" attitude. The Clinton first 100 days debacle won't happen here and now. Clinton did NOT prepare the nation, as Obama did for his program. Obama's web-site Change.gov puts out in very clear terms why HE was elected and what he is prepared to do. Now, if his own Speaker of the House do NOT back him up, who will???

I was a big advocate for Rahm as CoS because this "Ooh, we scared!" apologetic liberal mindset is not what we need now. Repugs call Emanuel "Rahmbo"? I say this is a good sign, a very good sign. Have you ever heard used anything but a female part of the anatomy as a description for a Dem before?? They have to know we mean business and the government is not their personnal plaything anymore.

This blog is to stop annoying the Huggpost with my everyday presence and to give me more space to elaborate my opinion, in all humility. I do believe as Chomsky said that maybe we were "given" the right to have a Left wing president this time, because businesses themselves have a certain agenda to pass. Even if this dispirited disgusting idea is true, I think the only thing that could defeat it is our voice. I think Obama called on us to become active and participate because only active citizen participation can wrestle the rein of power back in the hand of the people.

Already the Rovian pitbulls, with lipstick or not, are trying to define and shape Obama's presidency and his scope of action even before the inauguration. All the BS about being a center-right country, about neoliberal creed of bailout to the market as being the only solution, of robbing the state blind with excess while touting being a proponent of "small government"!!! All the spin is to rob us of our president and our voice. Because "That One" is our President. And we, all of us, must protect him from the insane greed of the rightwing nuts.

So here I am, in from the cold, fighting against the ideological coup d'etat that the neobots are trying to force on us ONCE MORE. Repugs are wounded but not defeated. They are actually more dangerous than ever, as a savage beast is when wounded. The will try their usual tactic of co-opting every good soundbite and projecting onto us every sin and incompetence. They will still create echo-chamber effect for their vision, repeating ad finitum the same false assumption until it will be seen as truth. It will all be done again because it work. They will champion an airhead puppet as representative of Real America but now they will try to give it an historical importance. So the fight is laid out for us. What will we do? I know what I'll do. I WILL BLOG!!!!
